100 Followers Giveaway! Thank you!

I hit 100 followers on GFC a few months ago, and now have 89 followers on Bloglovin, so that is pretty awesome! Thank you so much for reading my blog - it really means a lot to me that a bunch of people I don't even know, want to take the time to look at my nails and read what I have to say. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm a pretty straightforward person, so I'm just going to say this: I have decided that I am not really interested in playing the 'let's accumulate as many followers as possible by giving away free stuff' game. I'm here for me. I like writing and painting my nails, and enjoy sharing it with the world. I don't expect anything in return. BUT, I DO want to thank the people who have been with me for the longest, therefore, I encourage those of you who have been here with me since the very beginning to enter the special giveaway I created just for you, and will have a smaller (but still good!) one for anyone who chooses to follow me now. I love having more readers, I just want you here for the right reasons. :)

Ok so, here is what you need to know:

Rules:

There will only be two winners in this giveaway!
This giveaway is open to US residents only (or if you can provide a US address for shipping, I will accept that as well). Sorry, but I am by no means wealthy, and all of this is coming out of my own pocket. I will try to figure out a way to make this work for my international followers (because I love you too!), and host a giveaway just for you at my next milestone so long as I can figure out a way to afford it.

The prizes for this will be:

For my first 100 followers:
Nicole by OPI Limited Edition Special K Set of 3: Adventure Red-y, Pros & Confidence, Be Ama-Zing
7 Julep Polishes: Cindy, Mackenzie, Eden, Abbie, Glenn, Kate, Sienna

For my new followers:
Nicole by OPI Limited Edition Special K Set of 3: Adventure Red-y, Pros & Confidence, Be Ama-Zing
4 Wet n Wild polishes: Through the Grapevine, Candy-licious, On a Trip,  I Red a Good Book
1 Wet n Wild Clear Nail Protector
Wet n Wild Toe Separators, 2 Nail Files, 4-Way Buffer

This contest will begin at 12:01am on Saturday, 11/30/2013, and will close at 11:59pm on Sunday 12/15/2013.
The winner will have 48 hours to respond to my notification e-mail, otherwise a new winner will be chosen.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at delightinnails@gmail.com.

Good luck everyone!  And thank you so much!!

Here is the rafflecoptor for my first 100 followers. I've been planning this for a while and I know who you are. Anyone who enters here and is not in the list of 100 followers I have, will be disqualified from winning BOTH prizes, so be careful which one you enter, now! I want to give a little extra love to the people who have been supporting me from the beginning and am happy to get new ones (but we all know that there are many people out there who just follow for the prize and then ditch you after they receive it). NOT COOL, PEOPLE!

Thanks again. I never thought I would have any readers other than my family members and maybe a few friends, so I really appreciate that other people pop in to see what I do, too! Good luck to all of you. I can never thank you enough!

Thanksgiving Nails ft. OPI Black Magic Mountain

Good morning and happy Thanksgiving. Just a quick post to show off my autumn nails for today and show my thanks for an unexpected gift from one of my coworkers. :) At work last week, I received a whole BAG of OPI nailpolish to my amazement. Thank you, Cindy for cleaning out your cabinets and deciding that you didn't want these any more. I know how much this polish costs and I appreciate more than I can even say.

I decided to use one in my mani for Thanksgiving - OPI Black Magic Mountain. It's a great color for fall!

After painting my nails with this polish, I did some stamping over it with Julep Zelda - another great stamping color. This is Bundle Monster plate BM04.

Ok - I'm off to enjoy my day. I'm having 1st Thanksgiving at a rehabilitation facility where my mother-in-law is recovering from a broken leg and the 2nd one at a fire station! After that I shop til I drop, then hopefully we will put up the Christmas tree. I just love this time of year. Have a great day everyone. I hope you all get to spend time with your loved ones and while you are with them, think about how lucky you are to have them - I know I will.

November Julep It Girl Box + Autumn

I figured I better show off the November box before the month ends. October is a bust. I took pictures, but I don't really see the point in posting it now. Maybe I will post it next year, like a throwback, haha. If anyone wants to see it, let me know, and I will consider writing a post for it.

So, anyway, I have four polishes to show off here. I thought they were all nice, and most importantly, none of them were similar to colors that I already have. Yay! And as always, it felt like opening up a birthday present, which I always love. :)

First up, we have Chloe. This is a lovely dark bronze with coppery shimmer. It had a nice formula and dried shiny.

Julep Chloe

Next, we have Lola. I loved that this was a navy cream. For some reason, I have a hard time finding a nice dark blue without any shimmer. This polish was a bit difficult to apply. For some reason, the polish kept dragging as I did the second coat. It does dry matte, so maybe I should have let it dry longer before going for the second coat...I'm not sure. Either way, this is unlike anything else I have, so I like it for that alone. I will just have to remember to apply it carefully if I'm not going to use topcoat. :)

Julep Lola

I also received Winter, which looks exactly like the sky here this time of year. I tried to take a few pics with my phone of these nails up against the sky, but they did not come out very well. You'll have to take my word for it. ;) This polish went on nice and smooth and dried shiny. It is a pale grey-blue cream.

Julep Winter

Last, I have Autumn. She was an add-on and I am so glad I got her! This is a glitter with multi-sized metallic red and orange glitters in a clear base. I decided to try it out over Winter, since it looks like our fall trees against the gray sky. I think this glitter would also look really awesome over a golden yellow, so I'll have to try that out at some point.

Julep Winter and Autumn

Thank you so much for looking. I'm working on some pretty autumnal nails for Thanksgiving as we speak and will try to have them posted by Thursday. I am so excited for the holidays! My sister and her boyfriend are here now and I am so happy to see them. In a few short weeks, they will be back and even more family on both my side and my husband's will be here! Yay! Have a wonderful week.

Color Club Duo - Model Behavior and First Looks

After a month-long absence, I am back. Sorry I keep leaving. I am having a rough year. But, I have still been doing my nails - I just haven't been feeling up to writing about it. Well, today I did a mani that I just have to share. It turned out even cooler than I imagined. I purchased this duo a whole year ago, and at the time, Spring was just starting and these colors just felt too dark! So, now that fall is well on its way, and we have even gotten a little bit of snow, I decided to whip out these dark beauties and came up with a lovely mani this afternoon.

I started off with two coats of Color Club Model Behavior, then added First Looks to create a gradient. After that, I stamped using my favorite silver foil (Julep Harley) and Konad plate m78. Here is the gradient before I added the stamping.

And here is Model Behavior all my itself. I'll have to show off First Looks by itself in some other post - I have not been in a swatching mood lately. I'm sure I'll use it again as a lovely wintry base for a mani somewhere down the line. :) One last pic - I'm showing off a new ring - it is from my husband's grandmother who passed away several years ago, so it is very special.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. I really appreciate those of you who have decided stay even with my lack of posts lately. I have tons of pics that I have taken over the past several months and never posted, so I will try to share things as I can. Some of the summer stuff will have to wait for the end of winter - or maybe I will get desperate for some brightness and share in February - who knows!
